Abarth, Fiat, Honda and Suzuki franchisee Balmer Lawn Group has joined the Ssangyong Motors UK car retail network with the opening of a new dealership in Southampton.
The Hampshire-based retail group trades out of showrooms in Salisbury, New Milton and Brockenhurst and its new SsangYong showroom is located in Dibden Purlieu, Southampton.
Kevin Griffin, managing director at SsangYong Motors UK, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Balmer Lawn to the SsangYong franchise.
“The group endeavours to provide customers with excellent service and has values that match our own. We are very much looking forward to working with the experienced team in Dibden Purlieu and welcome them on board.”
Among the vehicles on display at the new Balmer Lawn dealership are the flagship Rexton SUV, the new facelifted Musso pick-up, the Tivoli compact SUV and the Korando crossover, which is soon to launch as a pure-electric vehicle (EV) in the UK.
The Korando e-Motion claims a 260-mile zero emissions range from its 61.5kWh battery, which powers an electric motor delivering 190PS.
Balmer Lawn, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, prides itself on excellent customer service. Paul Lamar, managing director for the group, said; “Even after all these years, we still strive to constantly deliver a premium service to every customer. We value integrity, honesty and transparency in our dealings, and this is reflected in the way in which we do business. We are delighted to add the SsangYong range to our customer offering and look forward to a successful partnership.”
SsangYong Motors’ franchised car retail network has welcomed a number of new retailers in 2021.
Among the latest additions are Holt Ssangyong, Close Motor Company’s new retail site in Peterborough, PJ Nicholls’ SsangYong Pershore, Livingstone Motor Group’s switch from Mitsubishi to Ssangyong in Hull, and the Bicester Motor Company’s Ssangyong dealership near Bicester.
