Vida V1 price, features, colours, battery, performance

The Vida V1 and V1 Pro electric scooters have received a big price drop and now cost Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 1.40 lakh respectively. These prices of the Vida V1 and V1 Pro are ex-showroom, India and includes FAME II subsidy as well as the portable charger.

The new prices of the Vida V1 electric scooter makes it significantly cheaper than when it was launched in October 2022. Back then the V1 was priced at Rs 1.45 lakh while the V1 Pro set you back by Rs 1.59 lakh. These prices were higher than what was anticipated. With the reduction in prices, the Vida V1 will be a lot more accessible than before. Not to mention the additional subsidies offered by some states  that will drive the price down even further. For instance, in Gujarat, the Vida V1 is priced at Rs 99,900 while the V1 Pro costs Rs 1.20 lakh.

The price reduction comes at a time when the Vida’s competitor, the Ather 450X recently received a price cut whereas the Ola S1 range also enjoys an advantage by starting at a lower price point.

Speaking of advantage, the Vida V1 is the only scooter in the segment to feature removable batteries. This makes it far more convenient for owners to charge the battery as opposed to electric scooters with fixed batteries that need to be recharged at specific charging points, be it a fixed fast charger or home charger installed in the parking lot.

The Vida V1 Plus gets a 3.44kWh battery that delivers a claimed range of 143km, while the V1 Pro gets a larger 3.94kWh battery, translating to a higher claimed range of 165km. Both variants get the same electric motor, which makes 6kW peak power and propels the V1 e-scooter to a claimed top speed of 80kph.

Besides the price drop, Vida also announced plans to expand its presence to 100 cities over this calendar year. At present, they are present in Delhi, Jaipur and Bengaluru and they’ve already begun expanding to Pune, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Nasik, Hyderabad, Chennai, Calicut and Kochi.
