Tata Motors has updated trim for the Nexon EV Max XZ+ Lux trim as it now gets the new 10.25-inch touchscreen, following the Nexon EV Max Dark edition. The XZ+ Lux with the 3.3kW charger is priced at Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Tata Motors is also offering this trim with the 7.2kW charger at Rs 19.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Tata Nexon EV Max: what’s new?
The highlight of this new trim is the addition of the new 10.25-inch touchscreen that was introduced on the compact SUV’s line-up with the Nexon EV Max Dark edition. Other updates include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an upgraded reverse camera and an integrated voice assistant.
Tata Motors’ new touchscreen was first introduced with the Red Dark editions of the Harrier and Safari SUVs, but wasn’t introduced with Nexon Red Dark edition. The Harrier and Safari SUVs also gained an ADAS suite with the new touchscreen, which is still missing in the entire Nexon line-up.
Tata Nexon EV Max powertrain
The Nexon EV Max gets a 40.5kWh battery giving it an ARAI-claimed range of 453km. However, our real-world range test showed it can average around 266km. Power is fed to the front wheels from the single-electric motor churns out 143hp and 250Nm of torque.
It gets two chargers as standard – a 3.3kW and a 7.2kW charger. Using the former, the battery can be charged from 10-100 percent in a claimed 15 hours, while with the latter, it takes 6.5 hours (claimed) to charge from 0-100 percent. The Nexon EV Max Dark is also capable of supporting up to 50kW DC fast charging, which, according to Tata, fills the battery from 0-80 percent in 56 minutes.
