Sytner Group has said that was ‘privileged’ to host Bugatti’s European Roadshow of the new Chiron Pur Sport ahead of the opening of its new Manchester hypercar dealership.
The AM100’s number one car retail group by turnover officially announced that it was set to join the Italian brand’s franchised network in a statement published this week, following the visit of the 1,479bhp eight-litre W16 quad-turbo creation.
Its new Bugatti showroom is based at the group’s existing Bentley dealership on Mobberley Rd, Knutsford, and is already offering fully authorised Bugatti aftersales services, with the official showroom opening set to take place in early 2021.
During its visit to Manchester, Bugatti’s Chiron Pur Sport roadshow saw the hypercar pause for photo opportunities in the centre of Manchester – with a backdrop of the National Football Museum, the historic Printworks and the Corn Exchange buildings – before heading to the new Bugatti Manchester dealership.
Jon Crossley, Sytner Group’s managing director at Bugatti Manchester, said: “Our team based here in the heart of Cheshire were delighted to present a car as impressive and unique as the Pur Sport and to be associated with one of the most iconic and exclusive brands in the world.
“We have already built up a great relationship with our new colleagues at the home of Bugatti in Molsheim and intend to become one of their leading dealers.”
News of Sytner’s new Bugatti franchise comes in the same week that the group opened its new Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) dealership site, at Cribbs Causeway, near Bristol.
The group became the latest business to move into new premises during COVID-19 ‘Lockdown 3’, forgoing the opportunity to welcome customers into its showroom’s first few days of operation.
Late last week AM reported that Lind Group had opened its new Norwich Porsche Centre this month, forcing it to put off any plans for an official ‘grand opening event’, while Cameron Motor Group officially begun operating from its £2m Strathmore Volvo Perth showroom earlier this month.
JT Hughes has also joined the Kia Motor UK franchise, with a new site in Newtown, since the turn of the year.
