Sole Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae for India arrives in New Delhi

Aventador Ultimae LP780-4 is the last Lamborghini to use pure-ICE V12; only one Ultimae unit allocated to India.

The sole Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae roadster allocated to India has arrived in New Delhi. The final derivative of the Aventador, the Ultimae marks the end of the supercar’s 11-year production run before the replacement arrives in 2023. It is also the last Lamborghini that will be powered by a pure internal-combustion V12 engine. Lamborghini will make only 250 Ultimae roadsters globally, along with 350 coupes. India gets only one Ultimae unit – a roadster.

  • Only one Ultimae unit allotted for India
  • Last Lamborghini to use pure ICE V12 engine
  • Fastest and most powerful Aventador ever made

Incorporates S and SVJ components

The Ultimae distinguishes itself from other Aventadors by a unique styling package that “takes the best components” of the S and SVJ. Each Ultimae is sold with a numbered plaque and offered in a range of unique colour schemes. The roadster can be specified with an exposed carbon-fibre roof panel.

The model allotted for India is painted in Solid Giallo Auge and features orange brake calipers, a transparent engine bonnet and black alloys. On the inside, the roadster gets the Ultimae interior trim with exterior colour-coordinated stitching.

Fastest Aventador ever made

The Ultimae roadster is powered by a 780hp, 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine. This makes it 10hp more powerful than the Aventador SVJ and a full 90hp more potent than the first Aventador LP700-4 that was introduced in 2011. The Ultimae’s motor is paired to a 7-speed single-clutch automatic gearbox and power is sent to all four wheels. It can sprint from 0-100 in 2.8sec and boasts of a top speed of 355kph, making the Ultimae the fastest and most powerful Aventador ever made.

The last of its kind

The Ultimae not only marks an end to the Aventador but it also bids farewell to Lamborghini’s glorious V12 engine as we know it. Lamborghini introduced the V12 in 1963 with their first-ever model – the 350 GT. Subsequently, the Miura, Countach, Diablo and Murcielago, all used the V12 before the Aventador came along in 2011. The Aventador replacement will also have a V12 but it will be a hybrid and not pure-ICE.
