Rygor Mercedes Gloucester is set to expand its premises and refresh its branding.
Located at Triangle Park on Metz Way, the site is planning a rebranding effort which will include a new look featuring flat black composite cladding and a matching respray of aluminium frames.
The 12,373 sqm site has submitted plans requesting approval for additional car parking, modified vehicular and pedestrian access, and an additional 250 sqm of internal space.
While 37 staff are currently employed at the Gloucester site, no increase in workforce is anticipated.
In the UK, Rygor operates 17 sites focusing on trucks, vans, coaches, cars, body repairs, and coachbuilding.
The planned changes at the Gloucester site are part of Rygor’s broader rebranding initiative, which commercial director Rish Channa said is “much more than a change of logo.”
The Metz Way site, which won Commercial Motor’s Forecourt/Showroom of the Year Award in 2018, is also considering offering car aftersales services, although this has not yet been confirmed.
The planned expansion includes the addition of a new service canopy as part of Mercedes’ corporate identity, an extended workshop area, and the installation of EV charging points accessible to the public outside of business hours.
