Royal Enfield Meteor 350 price, updates, rivals

The Meteor 350 spotted testing here runs on wire-spoke rims and has fewer blacked-out elements.

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was the first product from the brand to be powered by the J-platform 350cc engine and ever since that engine has gone on to power heavy hitters like the new-age Classic 350 and the Hunter 350. Now, a Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been spied testing with more retro elements such as wire-spoke wheels and more metal finishes all over.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350: what can be seen?

The most obvious visual differentiators are the wire-spoke rims as opposed to the cast alloy rims that the standard Meteor 350 runs on. Another change that is also visible is that the engine now features more less blacked-out elements compared to the current bike. Even the headlight housing on the standard bike is blacked-out and on this test mule, its finished in chrome.

While not visible here, it is claimed that the bike was spotted with an LED headlight.

The Meteor 350 has always had more of a neo-retro design with quite a few blacked-out elements and funky colours on the Fireball and Stellar variants. With this update, Royal Enfield seems to be bestowing the Meteor 350 with styling that’s more in line with a traditional cruiser.

In most cases, the presence of spoked rims is found on the lower variants, for example, the Hunter Retro variant, so this might also be the case with the Meteor 350. Currently, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is priced between Rs 2.04 lakh – Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).
