This faired bike will probably be sold alongside the regular Royal Enfield Continental GT 650.
A few months back, we shared photos with you of a Royal Enfield Continental GT650 spied testing with a bikini fairing. This time, a new picture reveals the same motorcycle but with a bigger fairing extension along the sides.
- Faired bike inspired by Royal Enfield 650cc race bike
- Fairing system could be modular
- Likely to be sold alongside standard Continental GT 650
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 spied testing with new fairing
The previous spy shot showed the bike with just the bikini fairing which is very similar to the look of the one-make Royal Enfield Continental GT 650-R race bike. This time around, the motorcycle has been spotted with a lower white-coloured panel and you can see that the indicators emerge from this panel. Whether this will be the final look or whether customers an decide between the quarter or half-faired look remains to be seen
The rest of the motorcycle is likely to be very similar mechanically, which means it will get a 648cc air-cooled parallel twin engine that makes 47hp and 52 Nm of torque.
Royal Enfield is busy working on a huge variety of exciting upcoming motorcycles and a Continental GT 650 was also recently spotted testing with alloy wheels. This indicates that the company may also be preparing to update its existing 650cc portfolio that has remained unchanged since the BS6 norms came into effect in 2020. The company is also working on a larger, liquid-cooled Himalayan and an all-new Bullet 350 based on the J platform, among other things.
Meanwhile, Royal Enfield will finally be revealing the Super Meter 650 price tomorrow, so look out for that update. Our review of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 cruiser will go live on 16 Jan.
