Thierry Pieton, currently deputy chief financial officer and controller, has been named CFO of Renault Group, effective 1 March, 2022.
He becomes a member of the management board and will report to group CEO Luca de Meo.
Pieton replaces current CFO and deputy CEO Clotilde Delbos who will now focus mainly on her role as CEO of the Mobilize brand and on RCI Banque SA of which she is chairman, “to accelerate its development in the context of the group’s transformation and the next stages of the ‘Renaulution’ plan”, Renault said in a statement.
Pieton started his career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1995, joined General Electric (GE) in 1998 and subsequently held various finance positions in the healthcare division. In 2004, he became GE Security CFO for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Two years later, he took on the role of global financial planning & analysis manager with GE Consumer & Industrial. In 2007, Piéton became CFO of GE Oil & Gas Global Services. In 2011, he was named CFO at GE Power Conversion.
He joined Nissan Europe, as SVP and CFO in May 2014.
Since 1 June 2016, he has been SVP and controller of Renault Group.
In February 2020, he became deputy CFO and SVP, controller, Renault Group.
On 1 January, 2021, he was appointed Renault brand finance chief and a member of Renault Group corporate management committee.
