India-bound Nissan X-Trail also received a 5-star safety rating, and while the model tested was LHD, the rating applies to the RHD version also.
Land Rover’s new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport have scored an impressive 5-star rating in the latest round of Euro NCAP safety tests. 16 cars were tested in total, with only one not receiving a 5-star rating.

2022 Range Rover Euro NCAP test results
The Range Rover scored an 84 percent rating in adult occupant tests, getting 32.1 out of a total 38 points. It received an 87 percent rating for child occupants tests, with a score of 43 out of 49 points. The new Range Rover also got an 82 percent rating for its safety systems tests, getting 13.2 out of a total of 16 points. However, the 2022 Range Rover got a 72 percent rating in the vulnerable road users tests, with a score of 39.1 points out of a total 54.
2022 Range Rover Sport Euro NCAP test results
Euro NCAP also tested the Range Rover Sport which also has similar results as the new Range Rover. It scored 85 percent rating in adult occupant tests, getting a total 32.4 points out of 38. In child occupant tests, it received an 85 percent rating by scoring 42 out of 49 points, while in safety systems tests, it has an 82 percent rating with 13.2 points out of 16. The new Range Rover Sport got a slightly lower 69 percent rating in vulnerable road users tests, scoring 37.5 points out of a total of 54.
Nissan X-Trail Euro NCAP test results
The India-bound, fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail was also tested in the recent round of tests. In the adult occupant test, it received a 91 percent rating by scoring 34.7 out of 38 points. It also received a 90 percent rating in the child occupant tests, with 44.3 points out of a total of 49. In the safety systems tests it received an impressive 95 percent rating by scoring 15.2 points out of 16, while in the vulnerable road users tests, it only received 38.2 points out of 54, managing a 70 percent rating. Although the model tested was left-hand drive, the rating applies to a right-hand drive version too.
Other cars tested by Euro NCAP in this round
The safety tests were also conducted on 13 other vehicles, including Tesla Model S, the new Honda Civic, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Nio ET7 EV, Smart #1 EV, WEY Coffee 02, Nissan Ariya, DS 9, Renault Austral, Toyota Corolla Cross, Toyota bZ4X, Subaru Solterra and Isuzu D-Max Crew Cab. All except the DS 9 got a 5-star safety rating.
