The Taycan crossed the 100-unit mark for the first time; up 31 percent from CY2022.

Porsche India has announced record annual sales of 914 new cars last year, which is an increase of 17 percent over CY2022’s 779 units and 64 percent over CY2021. This included the highest number of Taycan deliveries to date — 113 units – while also maintaining its legacy sports coupe clientele with a record 65 deliveries of the 911 in the same period.

Porsche India sales in 2023

At 113 units, Porsche hasn’t sold as many units of the 911 – in any given year – as it has the Taycan last year. Unsurprisingly, however, the Cayenne and the Macan, being SUVs, comprised the bulk of the sales.

“2023 was another strong year for Porsche India where sales of every model played a significant factor in our encouraging result,” said Manolito Vujicic, Brand Director, Porsche India.

“It sets a good benchmark for 2024 which will see several new products being launched, as well as further expansion to our retail network as part of our unwavering dedication to providing the best possible customer experience,” he added.

On that note, Porsche India plans to open two new showrooms in Pune and Hyderabad in the first half of this year. The company currently has a total of eight dealerships across the country.

Porsche India 2023 highlights

Apart from sales, Porsche India also set new production car lap records at the Buddh International Circuit with the 911 and Taycan for ICE and EV lap times, respectively. The brand also celebrated 75 years of Porsche with the Festival of Dreams earlier in 2023 and also hosted its customers for few unforgettable days at the Porsche Ice Experience in Levi, Finland, which we too had the pleasure of being a part of.
