Mahindra XUV700 price, waiting periods, AX7, AX7L, bookings, performance, features and design

According to Mahindra, company has 31,000 open bookings for the XUV700; SUV receives about 7,000 bookings a month.

The XUV700 has been a popular model in Mahindra’s India lineup. The versatile SUV is available with a choice of diesel and petrol powertrains, and 5, 6 or 7-seater configurations. However, due to this popularity, there has often been a rather lengthy waiting period for the XUV700. In October 2023, the waiting period form the AX7 L variant was reduced to 6 months from a 9 month waiting period in June 2023. Our dealer sources have now revealed that the waiting period has further fallen to a month for certain variants. Read on for the complete variant-wise waiting period break up.

Only the entry MX and AX3 variants are available with waiting periods that stretch up to one month. The AX5 and AX7 get waiting periods that stretch to one and a half months, while the top-spec XUV700 AX7L  is available with a waiting period of 2 months. However, ESP equipped variants have no specified waiting period. 

Mahindra XUV700 production and updates

The company has also revealed that due to a ramp-up in production, as of February 1, 2024, the overall delivery backlog dropped to 2.26 lakh units from 2.86 lakh units in November 2023. 

Mahindra XUV700 price and rivals 

Prices for the Mahindra XUV700 range from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). It has a vast list of rivals because it’s available with a useable third row and they include, the Tata Harrier, Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector and Hector Plus
