The XUV 3XO is all set to make its global debut on April 29 with an all-new identity. Apart from the new name, the facelifted XUV300 will also feature a major design overhaul, including a new vertically stacked headlamp setup, a redesigned grille, and updated bumpers. The rear-end will also be completely revamped, with new full-width LED tail lights and a restyled tailgate with the new XUV 3XO badging in the middle, with the registration plate now housed on the rear bumper. The updated SUV will also be equipped with new alloy wheels with a dual-tone finish.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: features

Apart from what would be the first-in-class panoramic sunroof, the XUV 3XO will be packed with a larger, free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other features will include a 10.25-inch fully-digital 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats and rear AC vents. It is yet to be seen if the new XUV 3XO will also be offered with ADAS safety tech like its rivals Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: powertrains

The Mahindra XUV 3XO will retain the existing engine options, including the 1.5-litre diesel, 1.2-litre turbo petrol and the 1.2-litre direct injection turbo-petrol (TGDI). The biggest change will be the addition of an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that’ll be offered with the 1.2-litre TGDI engine. The other two engine options will continue to be offered with the 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions
