As on its launch date of April 29, the XUV 3X0 will have at least two segment-first features.
The Mahindra XUV X3O, which is what the XUV300 facelift is now called, has been teased again, confirming that the upcoming compact SUV will be a feature-rich model. With Mahindra having already released two teasers before, we can now tell you which new features the X3O will get, and just how much of an upgrade it’ll be over the outgoing XUV300.

While the XUV300 already had a first-in-segment dual-zone climate control, the XUV 3XO will add a panoramic sunroof to the list of segment-firsts; this was confirmed by the second teaser Mahindra had sent out. The latest teaser shows a smartphone being used to remotely control the 3XO’s AC system – while remote functions on the Mahindra compact SUV are not new (owners could use the BlueSense app for this), the brand now has a new Adrenox Connect app for the remote functions. Expect other remote functions like infotainment control and door unlock/lock, along with diagnostic tools.
Previous spy shots of the XUV 3XO confirmed that it will come with features seen on the recently updated XUV400 EV. These include the 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and the 10.25-inch digital driver display. Images of the test mules also confirmed that it’ll get a 360-degree camera and ventilated front seats. Whether Mahindra will offer ADAS tech with the 3XO is still unknown, but if it does, the compact SUV will join the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet in getting this safety feature.
The XUV 3XO will continue to have the same three engine options – the 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol; the 131hp, 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol; and the 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel. Mahindra will offer an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic and a manual gearbox with the 131hp petrol engine, while the other two will continue to be offered with 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions.
As we’ve reported before, the XUV 3XO will be priced higher than the XUV300, which makes sense if one accounts for the design changes and new features. More details will be revealed as the XUV 3XO’s launch date (April 29) nears. Stay tuned.
