Lamborghini Urus: the production milestone

Lamborghini announced that the production milestone of 15,000 units was achieved around three years after the model was launched in global markets. The carmakers had previously announced that production for the SUV had crossed the 10,000-unit mark in July 2020, with the milestone model bound for Russia.

The milestone SUV unit, bearing chassis number 15,000, is a Urus Graphite Edition that features a Grigio Keres Matt paint shade (a matt paint finish) with Verde Scandal detailing on the exterior. The cabin, meanwhile, came finished in a two-tone Nero Ade and Verde Scandal upholstery.

The carmaker has said that the SUV has significantly impacted the brand’s sales, with volumes doubling in 2019 – the first year the SUV was fully marketed globally. The carmaker also recently announced record sales in the first-half of 2021, with 4,852 units being delivered – a 37 percent growth over 2020 and a 6.6 percent growth over the same period in 2019. The Urus was the brand’s bestselling model, accounting for 2,796 units of the total deliveries.

Lamborghini Urus: India sales

Revealed in December 2017, the Urus was launched in India in early 2018, though deliveries for the SUV only began late in the year. In 2019, the carmaker announced that it had delivered 50 units of the super-SUV in the country, with the 100-unit mark arriving earlier this year. The Urus Pearl Capsule edition was introduced in India recently and has already found a handful of buyers in the market.

Lamborghini Urus: engine and performance
