KTM 390 Adventure price, next-gen bike design, India launch

Will use new 399cc engine and TFT display from Gen 3 390 Duke.

The next-gen KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted on test once again and this time around we have gotten a look at the TFT display and the right hand side of the bike which reveals some key details.

  1. Same TFT dash as new 390 Duke, Svartpilen 401
  2. Gets a single-piece seat, wire-spoke rims

While the 390 Adventure’s main frame and engine will be very similar to the current 390 Duke, the subframe will likely be a different unit that will be able to take the weight of a pillion and luggage. While the current 390 Adventure has a pretty neat-looking and sleek tail section, it appears that the 2025 model will have an even slimmer unit. The entire design philosophy has changed more from a tall sport-tourer on the current bike to more of a rally-style machine on the next-gen model.

One of the biggest challenges for shorter riders is getting past the 855mm seat height of the current 390 Adventure. It seems like that problem could be addressed with the next-gen bike in the big dip from the fuel tank to the single-piece seat. For reference, the 2024 390 Duke has a seat height of 800mm, down from the earlier bike’s 822mm perch.

The current 390 Adventure is offered in four flavours and is priced between Rs 2.81 lakh-3.61 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The KTM 390 Adventure rivals the very capable and now thoroughly modern new Royal Enfield Himalayan (Rs 2.85 lakh-2.98 lakh), the recently launched (and pricey) Honda NX500 (Rs 5.90 lakh) and the BMW G 310 GS (Rs 3.30 lakh).
