Kia in India
In the year and a half since Kia entered the Indian market with the Seltos mid-size SUV, the brand has carved significant piece of market share in the utility vehicles segment despite fierce competition. The more recently launched Sonet compact SUV has also been a volume driver for the brand, with over 11,000 units sold in November 2020. Kia also has the Carnival MPV on sale in India and is working on bringing a smaller, mid-size MPV – likely to rival the Maruti Ertiga and Mahindra Marazzo – in early 2022.
