BMW Motorrad has sold 6,000 bikes in India this year alone.
As of this year, India is among the top 10 markets in the world in terms of sales for BMW Motorrad. The German bikemaker retails its entire product portfolio in the country and has sold more than 6,000 units this year.
- G 310 R, GS constitute 90 percent of India sales

India amongst top 10 markets for BMW Motorrad
Hot on the heels of the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR’s launch, BMW Motorrad announced that India is amongst the top 10 global markets in terms of sales figures. In fact, this year they have not only crossed the 6,000 unit sales milestone but are aiming to close with sales of more than 7,000 units. This will mark the highest ever sales numbers recorded by the German manufacturer on our shores.
The bulk of these sales comes from the three 310cc bikes in India, the G 310 R naked, the G 310 RR sportbike and the G 310 GS adventure bike. Speaking of the G 310 R and the GS, more than 10,000 have been sold in the country till date and the two bikes contribute around 90 percent of sales in India. As of the writing of this article, the total sales figures of the G 310 RR sportbike are unknown, but in October BMW had announced that it has crossed the 1,000 deliveries milestone.
