Ahead of the 2024 edition of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, Hyundai has revealed the Ioniq 5 N TA (Time Attack) Spec which will be taking part in The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb next month.

  2. Wrapped in unique N design livery

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N TA Spec: What’s new?

The Ioniq 5 N TA Spec carries over the Ioniq 5 N’s performance-focused powertrain, however, maximum output has been increased through software tuning. This results in an increase of 37hp over the Ioniq 5 N, totalling up to 687hp – making it the most powerful iteration of the EV yet.

In addition, Hyundai has modified the speakers of the car and the N Active Sound+ system to enhance driver feedback and replace sirens typical of electric Pikes Peak race cars. To adapt the car for Pikes Peak, the company has added new shock absorbers, motorsport-spec brakes, 18-inch Yokohama ADVAN 005 slick tires, and a high-downforce aerodynamic package  that includes a front splitter, a large rear wing and more.

Additional safety enhancements include a Recaro Pro Racer SPA Hans seat, Sabelt six-point Hans safety harness, a PPIHC specification roll cage and an EV fire suppression system. Both the Ioniq 5 N TA Spec models are wrapped in a special ‘N’ design livery.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N TA Spec: Battery, range

The Ioniq 5 N TA Spec is equipped with the same 84kWh battery pack as the regular Ioniq 5 N, however, range for this model isn’t specified. The Ioniq 5 N offers a claimed range of up to 448km, and boasts a 0-100 kph time of 3.4 seconds before topping out at 260kph.

Hyundai offers the regular Ioniq 5 in India with a standard RWD configuration, priced at Rs 46.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ioniq 5 was recently facelifted abroad, however, the company is yet to reveal any details about the updated model’s arrival in our country.
