Hyundai Creta price, facelift design details, engine, feb 2024 launch, rivals

The Creta facelift is expected to be launched in India in February 2024.

Hyundai is extensively testing the facelift of its popular midsize SUV, the Creta. While new, heavily camouflaged spy shots don’t divulge much, they hint that the Creta facelift will get similar similar styling cues as the one seen on the newly launched Exter and the upcoming Santa Fe. These styling cues include an H-patterned design for the lights.

  2. Creta facelift is likely to get 360-deg camera, ADAS

The second-gen Creta was launched in India in 2020 and subsequently received a facelift for international markets in 2021. However, that facelift, which had a Tucson-like design, never made it to India and Hyundai is working on a fresh design that will take cues from the Palisade

Hyundai Creta facelift: what do we know so far?

The Creta facelift will have a vertical headlamp cluster that will likely be a split unit and have Palisade-like daytime running lamps. Previous spy shots also suggest that the Creta facelift will have an all-new grille with square-like detailing, closely matching the Palisade.

The new spy shots show the Creta facelift gets a multi-spoke design for the alloy wheels that is very similar to the one seen on the outgoing model. However, the test mules of the Creta facelift seen in India recently show the midsize SUV will get a new design for the alloy wheels, similar to the ones shod on the Alcazar. At the back, expect the Creta to get a redesigned tail gate and a new bumper apart from the aforementioned tail-lights.

In terms of features, the Creta facelift is likely to come with 360-degree cameras as well as ADAS features. The Creta facelift’s interiors are yet to be revealed, but a redesigned dashboard and a host of new features could very well be on the cards.

Hyundai Creta facelift powertrains

The Creta facelift is expected to have the same powertrain options as the recently introduced Kia Seltos facelift. Expect the Creta to continue with the 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. Hyundai is also expected to add the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that made its debut in the Hyundai line-up with the Verna.
