Hyundai Creta price, Creta N Line launch details, features, design

Sport-oriented Creta N Line gets mild styling tweaks that set it apart from the standard SUV.

With the launch of the standard Creta done and dusted, Hyundai India has shifted focus to the sporty Creta N Line, which will be its next launch for our market. The SUV was seen at a shoot for an ad film recently and now we have got our hands on the patent image, showing its final design and confirming that the Creta N Line will look slightly different than the regular Creta.

  1. Creta N Line gets unique front styling
  2. Will also get unique exterior and interior upgrades
  3. Price announcement in the coming weeks

Creta N Line: what all is different?

The early glimpse of the Creta N Line did give us a hint on what to expect from SUV. These patent images confirm that the Creta N Line will get mildly altered front styling. The headlamp and the DRL design remains the same but a closer look reveals the unique grille design. The grille is not as tall as the one on the standard Creta and its piano black finish blends neatly with the squarish headlamp surrounds that make the grille area wider than it is, similar to what we see on the Exter. The shorter height for the grille means there is some empty space between the connected headlamps and the grille. This design element is not seen on the standard Creta as the grille is taller and merges nearly with the daytime running lamp housings.

The front bumper is different too with a wider air inlet surrounded by outlines finished in faux brushed aluminum. The only changes to the sides of the Creta N Line are mildly altered side skirts with N Line branding. Also, the N Line themed Creta gets uniquely designed 18-inch alloy wheels, specific to this variant; the rest of  Creta line-up gets 16- and 17-inch alloy wheel options depending on the variant.

At the back, the rear bumper gets styling tweaks among other small changes along with N Line specific exhaust tips. The Creta N Line will get multiple paint shade options, along with N Line specific shades like Thunder Blue and matte grey.

On the inside, there will be multiple red accents across the cabin with subtle N Line badging and different upholstery. On the mechanical side, we expect the Creta N Line to come with a 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a DCT automatic gearbox. There are talks of the SUV getting a 6-speed manual as well.

Creta N Line: launch timeline

We expect the Creta N Line to go on sale in the February-March 2024 timeframe. The Creta N Line will be Hyundai’s second new launch for India this year and the brand will introduce at least two more new SUVs in India later this year.
