Hero Xoom Combat edition launched
The Xoom Combat edition is based on the top-spec ZX variant of the sporty Hero scooter. The differentiating factor here comes in the form of a special colour scheme called ‘Matte Shadow Grey’ with a base grey coat emblazoned with yellow and black accents. This special edition’s colour scheme is meant to pay a nod to the colour seen on fighter jet aircrafts.
Besides this colour scheme, the Xoom Combat edition is mechanically identical to the ZX variant. This means that the Combat edition also gets the cornering lights feature that’s reserved for the top ZX variant. The air-cooled, 110.9cc, single-cylinder engine is rated for 8.2hp at 7,250rpm and 8.7 Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. The Xoom Combat will use the same digital display as seen on the ZX variant, which means that it will come with Bluetooth connectivity enabling call and SMS alerts.
At Rs 80,967, the Xoom Combat edition is the most expensive variant of the sporty Hero scooter on sale currently. Prices for the Hero Xoom lineup begin at Rs 71,484 for the base LX variant. The Hero Xoom’s primary rival is the Honda Dio which is priced between Rs 70,211 – Rs 77,712
All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
