The Passion XPro will most likely use the same underpinnings as the Passion Pro and Passion XTEC.
Hero MotoCorp looks to be on a bike-launching spree with as many as three models that are production-ready and just waiting in the wings to make their Indian debut. The latest in that ever-growing list is the Hero Passion XPro, which was discontinued with the advent of the stringent BS6 norms back in 2020.
- Styling, bodywork appears similiar to Passion XTEC
- Likely to get simpler LCD display from the Passion Pro
- Priced between Passion Pro and XTEC models
Hero Passion XPro: what to expect?
Judging from the images, the Passion XPro will feature the same air-cooled, 113.2cc, single-cylinder engine that’s rated for 9.15hp at 7,500rpm and 9.79 Nm at 5,000rpm. The LED headlight and bodywork looks to be very similar to the Passion XTEC although we expect it to miss out on the fully-digital LCD dash and instead use the simpler digi-analogue unit found on the Passion Pro.
Just like the other Hero Passion variants on sale, expect the returning XPro to also be offered with the option of both a drum and disc brake at the front. Considering prices for the Passion lineup range from Rs 74,678 to Rs 82,928, expect this XPro to find its place somewhere in the middle, considering its positioning in Hero’s lineup.
Interestingly, this isn’t the only model with the Passion name that Hero is bringing back into the fold, with images of the more utilitarian Passion Plus surfacing just a few days back. Effectively, Hero will soon sell four bikes under the Passion moniker, three of which will be underpinned by the 113cc mill and one by the long-serving 97cc ‘Sloper’ mill, found on the Splendor and HF models.
