Harley-Davidson LiveWire, launch price, electric bike

S2 Mulholland will be a part of LiveWire’s middleweight electric motorcycle line-up.

The LiveWire S2 Mulholland electric bike will be the third addition to the Harley-Davidson-owned company’s line-up and is set to launch on March 21.

  1. Mulholland will be based on LiveWire’s S2 Arrow Architecture
  2. Will be a mid-spec e-bike, closer to S2 Del Mar in spec

LiveWire S2 Mulholland: what do we know?

There is quite a limited glimpse of the motorcycle in the teaser video but what’s visible is the Mulholland badging and ‘Model 003’ on top of the ‘fuel tank’, indicating its name and the fact that this will be the third motorcycle in LiveWire’s portfolio. Also visible in the teaser is that the rider is seated nice and upright, which indicates that the Mulholland will have a relatively comfortable riding position. The teaser also suggests that the bike will be roomy enough to carry a pillion – at least for short distances.

The S2 Arrow Architecture combines the electric motor, battery pack and electronic systems into one unit.  This collective unit serves as a monocoque chassis of sorts as it connects to a steering headstock at the front and the swingarm at the rear. Like in the case of the S2 Del Mar LE, the performance levels of the S2 Mulholland are also expected to replicate the experience of a middleweight petrol motorcycle.

The LiveWire S2 Del Mar has a 10.5kWh battery pack rated for a claimed city range of 181km and a full charge takes 78 minutes when plugged into a Level 2 fast-charger. Expect the Mulholland to have a battery capacity and range figure that’s closer to the S2 Del Mar, if not lower.

None of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire models have been launched in India so far, and it remains to be seen if the S2 Mulholland will reverse that trend.. With its launch slated to be held on March 21 internationally, expect more details to trickle in soon enough.
