Denso has named Santosh Singh as vice president of Human Resources (HR) for North America, effective 16 August.
Singh will oversee six HR departments and their work to recruit, retain, train, develop and engage Denso employees in the US, Canada and Mexico.
He will be based out of the supplier’s North American headquarters in Southfield, Michigan.
“As we undertake a deep, cultural transformation, the addition of Santosh to our regional leadership team will help accelerate our progress and build a world-class HR function,” said Denso EVP of Corporate Functions in North America, Stephen Milam.

Singh has more than 23 years of corporate leadership experience in US, China and India.
Prior to the role, he held numerous positions at Caterpillar, in which he was required to increase team capabilities and employee engagement rates.
He has completed the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Programme for business executives and is accredited as a senior professional in HR (SPHR), as well as a global professional in HR (GPHR).
In North America, Denso is headquartered in Southfield, Michigan and employs 27,000-plus engineers, researchers and workers across 51 sites in the US, Canada and Mexico.
In the US, Denso employs 17,700-plus personnel in 14 States (and the District of Columbia) at 41 sites.
