The awards recognise those retailers that have demonstrated best practice and gone above and beyond in contributing to the success of the two brands.

Ben Fish, Renault Group UK network operations director, said the presentation capped a particularly exciting 12 months for Renault UK and its car dealers, with the brand’s electrified E-Tech offering having grown significantly during the period with the launch of the Megane E-Tech 100% electric, all new Renault Austral E-Tech full hybrid and the world premier of New Clio E-Tech full hybrid, due to go on sale later this summer.

Once the scores were in, DSG Renault in Morecambe emerged as the deserving recipient of the prestigious ‘Best Retailer’ award, with Mitchells of Lowestoft and Bristol Street Motors in Bradford securing second and third place, respectively.

In addition to these accolades, further recognition was bestowed upon retailers for their excellence in ‘Quality’ and ‘Sales’. DSG Renault in Morecambe continued to shine by claiming the ‘Best in Class’ award for ‘Quality,’ while RRG (Renault Retail Group) in Orpington was honored with the ‘Most Improved’ title.

Jaybee Renault in Banbury triumphed as the ‘Best in Class’ in the ‘Sales’ category, and Hendy Renault in Horley received the ‘Most Improved’ award.

The significance of aftersales was also acknowledged through dedicated ‘Quality’ and ‘Sales’ awards, mirroring those awarded to the retail operation. Fish Brothers Renault in Swindon claimed the ‘Best in Class’ recognition for ‘Quality,’ while Cars2 Renault in Wakefield earned the ‘Most Improved’ accolade for ‘Sales’.

Fish lauded the retail partners as fundamental to the brand’s success and its ambitious ‘Renaulution’ strategy, and outlined that as Renault moves forward with its electrification plans and strives to establish a strong foothold in the fiercely competitive C-segment, the retailers’ role becomes increasingly vital. Renault UK is delighted to acknowledge and appreciate their tireless efforts in contributing to the brand’s triumph.

“Our winners can feel rightfully proud of what they have achieved and their commitment to the brand is to be commended,” he added.

Established in 2022, the Dacia UK awards halo those partners that have shone the brightest in its 150-strong car dealer network. The winners were determined by their performance against a range of KPIs that applied to all aspects of their business, spanning sales and customer feedback to aftersales results and digital metrics.

Securing the coveted title of ‘Best Retailer’ was Mitchells of Lowestoft, with Richard Sanders Ltd in Kettering receiving the runner-up award. Completing the trio of top-performing retailers was Dales in Redruth.

Acknowledging those retailers who have elevated their operations to new heights, additional awards were presented. In the ‘Quality’ category, Dales in Redruth added to its accolades by winning the ‘Best In Class’ award, while Bristol Street Leicester claimed the ‘Most Improved’ title. In terms of ‘Sales’, Bells of Crossgar was named ‘Best In Class’, and Park’s in Irvine received the ‘Most Improved’ award.

Recognizing the significance of aftersales, standalone awards were also presented in the ‘Quality’ and ‘Sales’ categories. Fish Brothers in Swindon was honoured with the ‘Best In Class’ award, while Cars2 in Wakefield secured the ‘Most Improved’ accolade.

These awards come at the end of a highly productive year for the Dacia retail network. The introduction of the innovative seven-seat Dacia Jogger, along with the subsequent launch of its hybrid version, has attracted a growing number of car buyers to the brand.

In recent months, Dacia’s retailers have undergone a transformation with the implementation of the brand’s striking new visual identity across their facilities.

Fish gave thanks to Dacia dealers, stating, “Our success at Dacia has been greatly aided by our retail partners, who have played a central role in our achievements. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in Dacia’s remarkable growth, with UK sales more than doubling in 2022 compared to the previous year. The first half of 2023 has also proven to be exceptionally strong.

“These closely contested awards celebrate the commitment of our retailers to the brand, recognizing those who go above and beyond in delivering outstanding performance and service that aligns with the quality of Dacia vehicles.”

Luke Broad, Dacia brand director for the UK, added: “Congratulations to all our winners and a big thank you to all our retail partners. We are immensely proud of how they have helped Dacia to be the strongest it’s ever been, with many having been onboard since its UK launch in 2013. We are immensely pleased at how our network have shared our vision and invested in the brand as it enters into its most exciting phase yet.”
