Citroen C5 Aircross: complementary maintenance package
Citroen is offering a complementary maintenance package to customers booking the Aircross between March 1 and April 6. It is a 5 year/50,000km maintenance package, with owners required to take delivery of the car by June 30. The free maintenance will include the replacement of parts specified in the servicing schedule of the vehicle, but will not cover services such as wheel alignment and balancing.
Citroen C5 Aircross: variant details
The C5 Aircross will be available in two variant – Feel and the fully-loaded Shine. There’s plenty of standard kit on offer, including auto wipers and headlamps, 18-inch alloys, 12.3-inch digital dials, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, powered driver seat, dual-zone climate control, 6 airbags, ESC, traction control and more. The C5 Aircross is available in a choice of seven exterior paint shades – three single-tone and four dual-tone ones. The colour options include Pearl White in single and dual tone, Cumulus Grey in single and dual tone, Tijuca Blue in single and dual tone, and Perla Nera Black. The white-finished SUV also gets orange coloured accents on the exterior, with the others featuring silver accents.
Citroen C5 Aircross: engine details
For India, the C5 Aircross is available with a single diesel engine option. The unit in question is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel that puts out 177hp and 400Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox is standard, with Citroen claiming an ARAI rated fuel economy figure of 18.6kpl. You can read about how the SUV drives in our review.
Citroen C5 Aircross: India launch
The C5 Aircross is Citroen’s debut product for India, with prices expected to start around the Rs 30 lakh mark. The SUV is being imported to India via the CKD route, with it being assembled at the CK Birla facility in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. Expect the company to announce prices for the SUV in the coming weeks.
The C5 will come with a standard 3-year/1 lakh km warranty, along with roadside assistance. The SUV will retail via its La Maison dealerships located in 10 cities across the country. The carmaker recently opened its La Maison dealership in Chennai.
The C5 Aircross will be followed by a host of locally manufactured models under the company’s C-Cubed programme. The first of these made-in-India Citroens will be a Kia Sonet-rivalling compact SUV, codenamed C21.
