The earlier Pulsar 125 had an electronic carburettor, like the more commuter-centric CT range of bikes.
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 has been the only model in the Pulsar range of bikes that had an e-carb in place of a fuel injection system but that looks to be changing quite soon, with the new 2023 model spotted before its launch. Alongside this major change, it seems like the bike will also get new alloy wheels and colours.

The most noticeable difference visually are the new split three-spoke alloy wheels that replace the old six-spoke units and look quite modern and sleeker. Another small change visually (but one which entails a large mechanical one), is the absence of the DTS-i badge on the engine casing now replaced by a Bajaj logo. This could possibly mean that the bike is now moving away from the ‘twin-spark’ setup to a more conventional single spark plug setup.
Mechanically, the biggest change is the switch from an e-carb to a fuel injection system, which can be ascertained through the absence of a petcock (the small selector under the fuel tank on the left side, used to control the fuel supply on carburetted bikes). The earlier model was rated for 11.8hp at 8,500rpm and 10.8 Nm at 6,500rpm. This switch in the fuel delivery system shouldn’t result in too much of a difference to these output figures.
The digi-analogue display has been carried over from before but now shows a distance to empty readout as well as instant and average fuel efficiency figures. It also seems like the bike will get a few new colour schemes with this update as well. Outside the aforementioned changes, the bike is largely similar to the outgoing model.
With all these changes, expect the prices of the Pulsar 125 to increase from the current Rs 81,414 (Neon single seat), Rs 89,254 (Carbon Fibre single seat) and Rs 91,642 (Carbon Fibre split seat). The rivals to the Bajaj Pulsar 125 include the Hero Glamour Canvas, Honda SP125 and TVS Raider 125.
