Bajaj’s upcoming CNG motorcycle likely to be called Bruzer.
Bajaj’s upcoming CNG motorcycle is no secret, especially since Rajiv Bajaj, managing director of Bajaj announced its arrival on June 18. With just a month to go Bajaj’s CNG motorcycle has been spied testing once again and this time we have clearer images. Here’s a summary of everything we know so far about this motorcycle.
- Bajaj Bruzer to come with block patterned tyres
- Spotted with LED headlight and tail lamp
- India launch on June 18
Bajaj Bruzer design, launch details
The Bajaj CNG bike is referred to as the Bruzer here because Bajaj has filed a trademark application for the name and sources close to the project have previously hinted at it being called by that name.
The Bruzer seems to follow a retro design sporting a round headlamp, a flat seat and a big tank which will hold petrol. Meanwhile leaked blueprints suggest the CNG will actually be held in a tank that will be located under the rider’s seat and be protected by a tubular steel cradle frame.
Bajaj has picked a sloper engine design due to its layout and the additional space it liberates. Additionally, these units have been seen sporting parts like a tall fly-screen and hand grips. It’s yet to be seen if these will be available as standard or divided into different variants or be available as accessories.
The Bruzer can also be seen with a twin-five spoke alloy wheel design which is wrapped in a pair of block patterned tyres. The Bruzer also is seen equipped with a disc at the front and a drum at the rear for braking. Equipped with a telescopic fork and mono-shock setup, the Bruzer seems fairly well equipped with hardware to take on rugged roads found in rural areas.
While the indicators appear to be halogen, the headlight and tail lamp seem to be LED units bringing us to the question of price. We all know Bajaj is a master at pricing and has earned quite a reputation for its cut-throat and competitive pricing strategies, like the Pulsar NS400Z and the Triumph Speed 400. We suspect Bajaj to do the same with the Bruzer and utilise its vast product line and parts bin to bring down the overall cost. However, it is yet to be seen where the Bruzer will sit in regards to their existing 125cc lineup. All will be answered on June 18 when Bajaj will launch this motorcycle.
