- Gets a new digital speedometer
- Costs Rs 3,680 more than Platina 110 Drum
Apart from the single-channel ABS, Bajaj has also given the Platina 110 a new digital speedometer which features an ABS indicator, gear position indicator and a gear change indicator. As for colours, the Platina 110 ABS is available in four options – Ebony Black, Gloss Pewter Grey, Cocktail Wine Red and Saffire Blue.
The Bajaj Platina 110 ABS is powered by an 115.45cc, single cylinder engine that puts put 8.6hp at 7000 rpm and 9.81Nm at 5000rpm via a 5-speed gearbox.
In comparison to the drum brake-equipped Platina 110, this new ABS version costs Rs 3,680 more. In terms of competition, the new Bajaj Platina 110 ABS has to contend with the Honda CD 110 Dream Deluxe, the TVS Star City Plus and the Hero Passion Pro.
As per the government’s rules, only two-wheelers displacing more than 125cc are required to feature ABS while those under 125cc can make do with a CBS (Combined Braking System). Hence it’s nice to see Bajaj go over and beyond the government’s requirements and offer ABS in an 110cc motorcycle in the interest of safety.
