Editor’s Letter
It’s been a hectic October for AM team members. No sooner have we proofed and published the annual Dealer Tech Guide (starting on p27 of this issue) than we’re less than a month away from the incredible Automotive Management Live show which will be staged at Birmingham’s NEC.
And, in between the two, we and the motor retail experts at accountants and consultants BDO are analysing the latest information for the 2022 AM100 report, which will be revealed in mid-November.
I hope you’ll take the chance to attend Automotive Management Live on November 10. Technology plays such an important part of every sales process and the exhibitors at the NEC will be keen to help dealers prepare for 2023 and onwards.
Various economic forecasts for next year suggest consumers will feel the squeeze so dealerships will need to double down on their customer experience to keep profits flowing in.
Guest economist Rebecca Harding will ensure AM Live attendees hear what she thinks is coming and how they can take practical steps to cope well.
The best retail operators will be keeping current customers loyal, while reacting quickly and comprehensively to inbound enquiries. Which is why taking the opportunity to chat with peers and experts could be all the more rewarding.
I hope to see you at AM Live.
