Aprilia SXR 125: engine
The Aprilia SXR 125 is powered by the same engine that you get in the Aprilia SR 125. The three-valve, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 9.5hp of peak power and 9.2Nm of peak torque.
Aprilia SXR 125: design and colours
Besides the 125cc engine, the rest of the scooter is identical to the SXR 160. This means its bodywork and front apron are the same as on the SXR 160. Its LED headlights are, however, inspired by the Aprilia RS660 supersport motorcycle.
You also get the same front telescopic fork, rear monoshock suspension setup and the attractive 12-inch alloy wheels.
Like the Aprilia SXR 160, the SXR 125 comes in Matt Black, Glossy White, Matt Blue and Glossy Red colours schemes.
Aprilia SXR 125: features
Almost all the features that are present in the Aprilia SXR 160 are available with the SXR 125. This includes all-LED lights, USB charging port, digital instrument cluster and the optional Bluetooth connectivity. That said, it only gets CBS or Combined braking system instead of ABS, which is mandatory on two-wheelers in the 150cc and above category.
Aprilia SXR125: bookings open
The Aprilia SXR 125 can be booked by paying Rs 5,000 online or even at showrooms, once the lockdown has been lifted.
In terms of competition, the SXR125 goes up against the Suzuki Burgman 125, but it costs a fair premium over the Japanese scooter.
