Apollo has launched the new Tramplr series of block pattern tyres designed for motorcycles in the 150cc-500cc segment. The Apollo Tramplr XR is more off-road biased at 70:30, while the Tramplr ST has a 80:20 bias. The tyres have been developed in India and tested here as well as in Europe.
Apollo Tramplr XR
The Apollo Tramplr XR features large tread blocks, open cross grooves and a special compound for enhanced grip on off-road surfaces. That being said, these tyres are not meant for hardcore off-road trails. The company adds that although these are dual-purpose tyres, the Tramplr XR offers good high-speed stability on the road.
The Apollo Tramplr XR is available in various sizes. The 90/90-19 front and 120/80 R18 sizes are suited for Royal Enfields like the Classic and Meteor 350. Then there’s the 100/80-17 front and 140/70-R17 rear set of tyres for bikes such as the Yamaha FZ series, Suzuki Gixxer series and even the Kawasaki Ninja 300. Lastly, 110/70-R17 and 150/60-R17 is a radial tyre set for motorcycles such as the KTM series, TVS Apache RR 310, Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Honda CB300 R.
Apollo Tramplr ST
The Tramplr ST has a different tread pattern and is said to offer low rolling noise, good wet weather performance on city roads while offering decent grip on light off-road trails. The available sizes are suited for bikes in the Bajaj Pulsar. Yamaha MT-15 and TVS Apache RTR range.

Prices for the Apollo Tramplr series range between Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,000 for a set.
