Volkswagen extended warranty, service period now valid till June 30

Volkswagen is the latest manufacturer to extend its service and warranty periods for customers. Following Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota and Renault, Volkswagen has announced the extension to help their customers amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 induced pandemic.  

  • Prepaid services due in April and May now valid till June 30

  • Road side assistance policies also extended till June 30

  • Volkswagen India to launch the Taigun mid-size SUV this year

Under this initiative, customers whose services were due or missed between April 1 and May 31, can now avail the service till June 30. Furthermore, customers with a valid service value package (prepaid service package) whose maintenance was due in April and May will now get an extension till June 30 for no extra cost. 

Volkswagen has also extended the period in which a customer can purchase extended warranty. Customers whose cars standard two-year warranty is due to expire in April and May, can now purchase the extended warranty up to June 30. Additionally, customers whose extended warranty is due to lapse between April 15 and May 31 can now get any repairs done under the extended warranty till June 30. Lastly, the carmaker has extended the tenure for road side assistance policies expiring in April and May. These will now be valid till June 30. 

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “Keeping in mind these unprecedented times, we have announced an extension to all our comprehensive services and warranties until 30 June 2021. As a customer centric brand, we prioritize the safety of our customers and our extended service support package is an assurance that all services will be provided as applicable. We understand customer’s requirements and through these initiatives, we aim to provide a peace of mind ownership experience to all our valued customers.”

Volkswagen India currently retails the Polo hatchback, the Vento sedan, the T-Roc mid-size SUV and the 7-seater Tiguan AllSpace SUV.

The carmaker is preparing to launch the already revealed, 5-seater Tiguan facelift in 2021, along with the all-new Taigun mid-size SUV, which is made on the India specific MQB A0 IN platform.
