A Vespa’s silhouette is arguably the most recognizable one in the scooter fraternity and hasn’t changed a whole lot over the multiple decades its been on sale. And just a couple months after it revealed a Mickey Mouse themed scooter, Vespa has now unveiled a special edition model made in collaboration with international pop star Justin Bieber.
Almost the entire scooter is finished in white and in fact, it even runs on whitewall tyres, a very rare thing today. And on top of this base white paint are flames, again white in colour.
The base scooter underpinning this special edition model is the Vespa Sprint 150 sold in the US. That means a 155cc, single-cylinder mill making 12.5hp and 12.4Nm of torque. 12-inch wheels are available at both ends and this scooter gets a 200mm front disc brake and a 140mm rear drum brake, with single-channel ABS. This Vespa x Justin Bieber edition scooter also gets a TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity and app compatibility.
The price for this collector’s edition scooter is a cool Rs 6,45,690 (ex-showroom). Pre-orders are open and we have been informed that limited units of the scooter are very close to reaching our shores. However, one noteworthy thing here is that the base scooter, a US-spec Sprint 150 only complies with the Euro 4 emission regulations. We have reached out to Piaggio and are awaiting confirmation on how this scooter will be registered in the BS6.2 era.
