Ultraviolette X44 new EV trademarked: upcoming electric scooter, bike

At the launch of the F77, the company had previewed a few new body styles in a video presentation.

Currently, the Ultraviolette F77 is the quickest and most expensive electric two-wheeler in India. It is also the Bengaluru-based startup’s only offering at the moment but with this new trademark, this is likely to change.

The F77 is intended to be the flagship product for the company and this new X44 badged offering could be a more accessible offering from Ultraviolette. In the trademark application, the document states that this name could be used on either an electric motorcycle or a scooter and this further expands the possibilities for the manufacturer.

The electric scooter space in India is a hotly contested one with proven offerings from both established OEMs and new-age startups alike and if the X44 does indeed turn out to be an electric scooter, it will go up against some stiff competition.

In a video presentation at the launch of the F77, the company had previewed a range of new products and its possible that the X44 could be one of those. Ultraviolette had also teased plans to set up charging stations across India by 2024, although when this will start remains to be seen.
