The TVS cruiser’s design is very conventional and it appears to have a USD fork.
TVS has patented a design for a new cruiser motorcycle and while it is still early days, the basic drawing indicates this machine will be very conventionally styled.
At the heart of this new cruiser appears to be a large engine, going by the fact that the mill appears to be quite wide. While no displacement figures have been revealed yet, this could perhaps be the largest engine to come out of the Hosur-based manufacturer’s facilities.
It is not yet known whether this large engine will be a single-cylinder unit or will have a twin-cylinder layout. There appears to be a beefy single exhaust pipe further pointing toward the fact that the cruiser will have a butch stance. While the design sketch shows a retro-styled cruiser with a large round fuel tank, hardware looks to be modern with the presence of a USD fork.
TVS is known for its edgy designs with the Apache range of bikes but it seems this cruiser will have a clean, uncluttered design. While the TVS Ronin is a great bike to ride, it doesn’t have as conventionally pleasing a design to the eyes as its arch rival, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. TVS may be looking to rectify this with the new cruiser going the proper neo-retro route, at least in this preliminary sketch. With a swept back handlebar, round fuel tank and headlight, this new cruiser seems to tick all the archetypical cruiser check boxes. Depending on it’s displacement, the TVS cruiser will rival the Meteor 350 or the Super Meteor 650.
There are a lot of new and exciting things coming from TVS, including a range of new electric vehicles, the naked streetfighter version of the Apache RR310 and even a helmet detector system. Watch this space as we bring you the latest news.
