Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: exterior design
Being just a rebadge, the Urban Cruiser Taisor shares almost all its body panels with the Maruti Fronx, albeit with subtle differences including a redesigned front grille with a honeycomb pattern and slightly restyled front bumpers. The LED DRLs feature a new linear design as opposed to the three cubes seen on the Fronx. The tail lights have also been tweaked, but just like the donor SUV, are connected together with a full-width light bar. The Taisor also gets a new design for the 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Colour options include Cafe White, Enticing Silver, Sportin Red, Lucent Orange, and Gaming Grey. The former three can also be had with a blacked-out roof.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: interior and features
On the inside, the Urban Cruiser Taisor gets a dual-tone brown and black upholstery. The SUV is equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto climate control, 360-degree camera, a heads up display, wireless charger, smartwatch connectivity and so on.
Safety is taken care of by six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), hill-hold assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: powertrains
Powering the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor are the same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engines. The former makes 90hp and 113Nm torque, and can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional AMT. Meanwhile the turbo petrol engine is also available with a 5-speed manual, along with an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic as standard. Toyota is also offering a CNG option with the NA engine.
