Toyota Innova Hycross petrol GX (O): price, features

Based on its price point, the Hycross GX (O) is priced about Rs 1.2 lakh higher than the equivalent GX variant. For the premium, Toyota has added safety kit such as front LED fog lights, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and a rear defogger. The interior has been spruced up with a chestnut theme, soft-touch materials on the dash and doors, and new fabric seat covers. In addition, comfort features like automatic climate control, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay have also been added.

However, the Hycross GX (O) 8-seater misses out on on the 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and a retractable rear sun shade, which is why the 7-seater is priced Rs 14,000 higher, at Rs 21.13 lakh.

Toyota offers the Hyrcoss GX (O) in seven exterior finishes – Blackish Ageha Glass Flake, Platinum White Pearl, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Super White and Avant Garde Bronze Metallic.

The same 174hp, 205Nm, 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is on offer, and it is paired with a CVT automatic gearbox. Toyota says this Hycross has a fuel-efficiency of 16.13kpl.

While Toyota’s petrol-powered MPV has no direct rivals per se, the Hycross petrol does compete with seven-seat SUVs like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar. However, the hybrid version sees competition from its badge-engineered sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
