Teklas Automotive opens second Serbia plant

Turkish car parts manufacturer Teklas Automotive has officially opened a factory in Serbia’s southern city of Vranje, SeeNews.com reported.

Teklas plans to employ 1,500 workers at the plant, CEO Nebi Anil said, as seen in a video posted on the YouTube channel of the Tanjug news agency on Monday.

The company’s first Serbian factory was opened in Vladicin Han in 2016 and employs 1,000, he added.

“We hope to have EUR250 million turnover,” Anil said, referring to the combined yearly turnover of both plants.

Accoridng to the Teklas website, the supplier operates 10 plants in Germany, the US, Mexico, France, Serbia, and Turkey.

Elsewhere in southeastern Europe, its operates a factory in Kardzhali, Bulgaria, SeeNews.com said.
