The Tata Nexon facelift is one of the most anticipated new models from Tata Motors among a slew of launches lined up over the next few months. Ahead, of its launch by September, we now have fresh details on the updated Nexon’s trim line-up, as well as a few key features.

Tata Nexon facelift trim line-up
Our sources have revealed that the Nexon facelift will be offered in more than 10 trims, and that Tata will ditch the current trim nomenclature (XE, XM, XM+, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux), and instead, use names similar to the Punch line-up which that has trims like Pure and Creative.
At launch, the Nexon will come with only the core trims, but Tata’s special edition models like the Dark Edition and Jet Edition will join the line-up at a later stage, likely in a phased manner, and will continue to be based only on top-spec trims. Such special edition models are hugely popular in Tata’s line-up, especially for its SUVs, often contributing upwards of 15 percent of total sales for each model.
Currently, the Nexon has as many as four special editions – Dark, Kaziranga, Jet, and Red Dark – although it remains to be seen if all are brought back with the facelifted model.

The Nexon has dominated the sales charts in the sub-compact SUV space for several months now, but on the features front, it did not quite match up to the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet or even the Maruti Brezza. With the facelift, however, Tata is seriously going to up the game on the features front.
Spy shots have already indicated at a new 10.25-inch touchscreen from the updated Harrier and Safari, a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and all-new two-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo. We have now learnt that it will also get sequential turn indicators, 360-degree camera with HD display, and even front parking sensors (the XUV300 is the only other SUV in this segment with front parking sensors).
Further, 6 airbags will be standard on all trims, as well as LED headlamps with LED DRLs and multi-drive modes. Higher trims will come with Tata’s new patented touch-based HVAC control panel, wireless charger, leatherette upholstery, ventilated seats and a new LED DRL welcome signature. As is the case with the current Nexon, a single-pane sunroof will be offered from quite low in the trim line-up.
