Tata’s first two EV only showrooms are located in the Delhi National Capital Region.

Tata Motors has launched two new showrooms in the National Capital Region today, which will be dedicated to retailing the brand’s all-electric vehicles. 1. First Tata EV showroom to open to public on January 7, 2024
  2. Tata targets two to three showrooms in EV hotspots
  3. Showrooms to have separate workshops

The Indian brand has announced that the first EV showrooms – one in  Sector 14 and the other on  Sohna Road in Gurugram – will open to the public on January 7 next year. Potential buyers will be able to peruse Tata’s current EV portfolio, and explore the tech-enabled showroom by themselves. Tata feels that thanks to early adopters, potential customers know a lot about the product so they will be free to self browse and can ask for help if needed.

Tata aims to have two or three outlets in cities with higher EV adoption such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai in the next 12-18 months.

The company claims that each one of its showrooms will have a separate workshop to cater to aftersales services and other needs. In addition, each showroom is said to be ecologically constructed, ensuring natural light comes through. There’s also usage of sensor driven LED lights, recycled and recyclable materials, unfired clay bricks, and some of the walls are even made from recycled plastic, says Tata. To further the eco-friendly mindset, the brand will organise yoga and other events through its Evolve community, and also make arrangements for partners who want to sell environment-friendly products at the outlet. The showrooms are also said to accept waste for recycling that customers can drop off.

The company currently sees 15 percent of its total volume and 20 percent of its revenue coming from EVs; the new showrooms, along with the upcoming additions to its EV portfolio, should help increase those figures.
