Skoda’s franchised car dealers have opened their order books for the Czech brand’s first fully electric vehicle (EV) – the Enyaq iV SUV.
Customers can now place an order for the Volkswagen Group-owned brand’s long-awaited new model, a full six months after it revealed an initial pricing structure.
Skoda’s Enyaq is the brand’s first model to be based on the VW Group’s MEB platform, which also underpins the VW ID3 and forthcoming Cupra Born.
The entry-level Enyaq iV 60 uses a 62kWh battery pack, which provides a range of 242 miles and has an output of 180PS.
Entry-level 60 models come equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, a 13-inch infotainment screen, rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control and keyless go.
The 80 adds chrome detailing, front parking sensors and a rear-view camera. 80 models also come with a heated two-spoke leather steering wheel that features paddles for setting the levels of regenerative braking, Drive Mode Selection and infotainment system with navigation.
Both versions are fitted with an interior spec called Loft. This features fabric and artificial leather seat facings and brushed aluminium decor panels as standard.
For an additional £1,285, customers can specify an interior design pack called Suite that adds leather trim and piano black decor panels or opt for the Lounge interior design pack with light grey leather with mustard yellow stitching for an additional £1,115.
Enyaq iV models have a minimum DC rapid charging capability of 50kW as standard and customers can specify higher 100kW (for 62kWh battery) and 125kW (for 82kWh battery) DC charge rates as options.
With the traction battery housed in the floor and a compact motor mounted beneath the boot floor, Skoda has said that the Enyaq’s cabin is unburdened by the packaging compromises of a traditional internal combustion engine car.
As a result, occupants are promised a spacious interior with a flat floor and a boot that can hold 585-litres of luggage.
New Lease&Care offer
The brand has also launched a new Lease&Care finance offer for Enyaq customers with the launch of the Enyaq iV.
Developed by Volkswagen Financial Services specifically for electric car buyers, Lease&Care is a personal lease that includes built-in aftersales packages.
Enyaq iV customers choose their annual mileage and select their term of either 24, 36 or 48 months before tailoring their package by choosing one of three ‘care’ packages (Small, Medium or Large).
The Small package covers a customer for essential servicing, which includes all routine manufacturer servicing, brake fluid changes, as well as dust and pollen filters, along with Driverline concierge – a dedicated 24/7 service that covers breakdown, recovery and glass care.
Medium adds routine maintenance items including brake, suspension and cooling system repairs, electric system maintenance, and all fluid top-ups.
Large package includes tyre replacement and wheel alignment (due to fair wear and tear), puncture repair, geometry check and wheel balance.
Skoda’s representative offer shows that a £31,085 Enyaq iV 60 on the Small package would cost £385-per-month over 48 months, with an initial rental of £2,358 and annual mileage of 10,000 miles.
Skoda said that all Enyaq iV customers can also add on VWFS Rent-a-Car Mobility credits for as little as £16-per-month, giving them access to a non-electric vehicle for seven days per year.
