Skoda Kodiaq, Kushaq, Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson

Apart from the price revision and variant rejig, no other changes have been made to the SUV.

Skoda has rejigged the variant lineup of the Kodiaq seven-seater SUV. The Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson rival was previously available in three trims: Style, Sportline and L&K, but will now be offered in the top-spec version only. The prices of the Skoda Kodiaq have also been revised.
  1. Range-topping Kodiaq L&K now Rs 2 lakh more affordable
  2. Available in a single, fully-loaded variant
  3. No mechanical changes
The Skoda Kodiaq L&K was previously priced at Rs 41.99 lakh, but has now received a Rs 2 lakh price cut, effectively costing Rs 39.99 lakh. No changes have been made to the SUV owing to the price revision and variant rejig.

Skoda offers the Kodiaq with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine producing 190hp and 320Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels. The Kodiaq SUV is currently Skoda’s flagship offering in India, and directly rivals the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Jeep Meridian in the country.

Skoda future plans: compact SUV

Based on the same MQB-A0-IN platform as the Kushaq, the yet-to-be-named compact SUV will go on sale in March 2025. We expect it to be priced between Rs 9-14 lakh (ex-showroom), which will put it on par with most of its rivals. The entry-level Skoda SUV will also likely be exported to markets like South America, South-East Asia and Africa, among others.
