New teaser reveals the exhaust note of the upcoming Hunter 350, which could become RE’s most affordable model.
In a new teaser for its upcoming Hunter 350, Royal Enfield has disclosed its launch date to be August 7. The teaser video reveals the exhaust note for the upcoming model as well, which is very akin to what we’ve experienced thus far on its current J-series bikes, the Classic and the Meteor 350.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350: to sport the same J-platform engine
The Hunter 350 will be the third bike from Royal Enfield that sports the J-platform engine. The 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine will have the same peak power output as its siblings, at 20.2hp, and torque is likely to be the same as well at 27Nm. Where it differs from the other J-series models is in the fact that it is set to be a good deal lighter, which should make it more accessible to a wider audience.
Based on recent spy shots, the Hunter 350 is likely to be offered in two variants, differing in wheel and colour options, among other things. Going by the basic equipment levels, it is likely that the Hunter 350 could become the most accessible model in RE’s current line-up. Prices are expected to hover around the Rs 1.5 lakh-1.6 lakh mark, and with the Bullet due for its update soon, the Hunter could undercut RE’s long standing icon.
