Range Rover price; SV, Autobiography, bespoke programmes announced

Along with the new models, Range Rover also introduced its SV Bespoke customisation programme.

The entire Range Rover luxury SUV line-up has seen a major powertrain upgrade. The brand will equip all Range Rover SUVs with hybrid powertrains, including plug-in hybrids and a new V8 trim. At the time of writing, new prices of the Range Rover were yet to be announced, but previously, they ranged from Rs 2.39 crore to Rs 4.17 crore (ex-showroom)

Range Rover MY2024 line-up: powertrain upgrades

A new 218hp electric motor boosts the power output of the P440e from 440hp to 460hp, and the trim is now called the P460e. Similarly, the 510hp P510e has been upgraded to produce 550hp and is subsequently called the P550e.

The upgrade means the Range Rover P550e can dispatch the 0-100kph sprint in 5.0sec, down from 5.5sec in the P510e. It also boosts the official electric-only range of up to 121km – an 8km increase or 94km in real-world conditions, according to Land Rover. The new powertrain also allows the long-wheelbase Range Rover SV to be equipped with a PHEV powertrain for the first time.

The new Range Rover P615-badged 4.4-litre V8 option produces 615hp thanks to twin turbochargers and a mild-hybrid system, meaning its emissions and fuel efficiency are almost identical to those of the 5130hp, 4.4-litre V8. That lesser version, badged P530, has also been given the mild-hybrid treatment, boosting its official fuel efficiency.

Range Rover MY2024 line-up: interior upgrades

Inside, every MY2024 Range Rover receives JLR’s updated 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system, which is claimed to perform 80 percent of functions within two taps from the home screen. A new Country Road Assist system has been added to allow the use of adaptive cruise control on twisty roads, automatically adjusting its target speed for corners and changes in the limit. Similar capabilities have been added to the Terrain Response off-roading system, allowing drivers to select one of four vehicle speeds for when the going gets tough.

The SV Bespoke commissioning service will continue to enable super-rich customers to create a one-of-one Range Rover. Customisation options include a paint-to-match service to replicate any colour, as well as 391 interior combinations and even 24-carat gold exterior badges.

Range Rover SV Bespoke programme

Range Rover has also introduced the SV Bespoke programme that will let buyers customise their Autobiography and SV trims. With this, buyers get a choice of selecting from a palette of 391 interior colours and Range Rover says it can also replicate any colour as per a buyer’s request. Furthermore, this programme also gives buyers the choice to have 24-carat gold trim finishes.

Range Rover line-up in India

With the update, the Range Rover is now available in the HSE, Autobiography and SV trims in India with a choice of petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains. Land Rover also sells the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar and Range Rover Evoque under the Range Rover brand name in India.
