The UK’s newest ‘Polestar Space’ has opened as the premium electric car brand continues to expand its network of dealerships.
The new outlet, operated by Lookers, is at the Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow, and it replaces a previous temporary pop-up store that has been operating since 2022.
The new venue exemplifies the brand’s commitment to a direct-to-consumer, digital-first sales approach, and Polestar said visitors can expect a seamless digital experience and the assistance of non-commissioned product specialists.
Jonathan Goodman, head of Polestar UK, said “We are delighted to be opening our first ‘space’ in Scotland in what will be a transformative year for our brand. The timing couldn’t be better with the updated Polestar 2 available to customers now and Polestar 3, our luxury SUV and Polestar 4 our SUV coupé arriving later this year.”
Polestar’s network already includes outlets at Battersea Power Station in London, Centennial Park, Bicester, Bristol, Sheffield, and Manchester.
The Manchester site is also operated by Lookers.
Polestar has secured £750 million to help it make more cars in the future and expand its business.
This cash boost comes at a crucial time because Volvo, a major stakeholder in Polestar, has decided to reduce how much of the company it owns.
