Ola S1 Air now only gets a single 3kWh variant

The Ola S1 Air was first announced in October 2022 at which point it had a 2.5kWh battery and an introductory price of Rs 79,999. Then the company expanded it to three variants in February 2023. Now the company has removed the 2kWh and 4kWh variants, leaving only the 3kWh variant. Deliveries of the S1 Air were originally supposed to begin in the first quarter of 2023. However, the e-scooter is yet to actually go on sale as we draw to the end of the second quarter of 2023.

The Ola S1 Air is now only available in a single 3kWh variant, priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, including FAME-II subsidy).

When contacted, a company official informed us that these two variants were discontinued because the 3kWh variant had the maximum demand. Similarly, the S1 is also now only available in a single variant, with a 3kWh battery, and the discontinuation of the smaller 2kWh battery powered variant was also due to the same reason. Currently, all customers who had booked the other variants of the Ola S1 Air wil now have no choice but to go for this 3kWh variant.

The Ola S1 Air has a 3kWh battery with a claimed IDC range of 125 km and a top speed of 85kph. It has a top speed of 85kph with its motor rated for 4.5kW of peak power (claimed numbers).
