Prices for Magnite Kuro edition and AMT will be announced on October 7 and 12, respectively.
Nissan has unveiled two new versions of its only product in India – the Magnite EZ-Shift and the Magnite Kuro edition. The former sees the addition of the automated manual transmission (AMT) to the standard 1.0-litre petrol engine, while the latter is essentially a Black edition for the Magnite.

Nissan Magnite Kuro edition: what does it get
The Magnite Kuro gets an all-black treatment all around. On the outside, the Kuro edition gets a blacked-out grille, grille surrounds, skid plate, roof rails, door handles, alloy wheels and the accents in the headlights. The only non-black items on the exterior are the ‘Nissan’ and ‘Magnite’ badges as well as the red brake calipers.

Inside, the similar blacked-out treatment continues to the roof liner, sun visors, door trims, door handles, steering wheel and AC vent surrounds. As the Magnite Kuro edition is based on the higher-spec XV trim, it gets a wireless charger, 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, 8.0-inch touchscreen, six speakers and more.
Nissan mentions that the Magnite will be the official car of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and the Kuro edition will be launched on October 7 to commemorate this. The Magnite Kuro edition will be available with the 72hp, 96Nm, 1.0-litre petrol engine and the 100hp, 160Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and will get all gearbox options offered on the Magnite.
Nissan Maginite AMT details
The Magnite is currently offered with only one automatic gearbox – the continuously variable transmission (CVT) that is paired with the turbo-petrol engine. Now, Nissan has also introduced the AMT gearbox that will be coupled with the 1.0-litre petrol engine. This AMT gearbox will be available across the entire range – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium.
AMT will be available on all four trims – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium.
Nissan Magnite price and rivals
Bookings for the Magnite Kuro edition opened last month for a token amount of Rs 11,000 and its prices will be announced on October 7. Meanwhile, prices for the Magnite AMT variants will be revealed on October 12. The Magnite currently retails between Rs 6 lakh – 10.86 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Magnite Kuro edition and Magnite AMT will go head to head against the newly launched Renault Kiger Urban Night edition and the Kiger 1.0-litre petrol AMT, respectively. The Magnite also rivals the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
