The 2021 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR has been unveiled overseas. This model year sees a Euro 5 emissions update as well as upgrades to the electronics.

With a mammoth 208hp and no fairing in sight, the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR ties with the Ducati Streetfighter V4 for the throne of most powerful production naked bike in the world. To ensure that it lives on, MV has given the Brutale an Euro 5 emissions update for the 2021 model year, as well as a few other minor tweaks.
2021 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR: engine updates
Despite now being kinder to the environment, the 998cc inline-four continues to churn out the same 208hp and 116.5Nm. This has been possible thanks to internal tweaks that reduce friction. These include sintered valve guides and tappets that feature DLC. A redesigned exhaust system helps clean up emissions, while a new cam profile aims to shift the torque cover lower down the rev range.
2021 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR: chassis
It would be hard for MV’s engineers to make too many improvements in the chassis department, considering that the Brutale already gets top-shelf parts pretty much everywhere. The suspension continues to be electronically-controlled, semi-active Ohlins hardware – a 43mm NIX EC fork and TTX shock. Braking is as good as it gets, with flagship Brembo Stylema calipers biting down on twin 320mm discs up front.
2021 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR: electronics updates
While the hardware is the same as earlier, braking performance could see an improvement, thanks to a new Continental cornering ABS. It’s also helped by a new Continental IMU, which should have a positive impacton rider aids like traction control and wheelie control. Rounding out the package is a new 5.5-inch TFT display, which continues to feature Bluetooth navigation but now also gets a built-in Mobistat tracker.
2021 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR: price
The 2021 Brutale 1000 RR has already been launched in Europe. It can be had in two colours, and prices start from €32,000(around Rs 28.69 lakh). With MV Agusta currently having no operations in India, don’t expect to see this bike on sale in our country anytime soon.
